The food ingredients
industry worldwide continues to grow at a rate of 4-6% per
year.
In Russia, the food ingredients industry is growing by an
even higher rate of 6-8% per annum, amounting to $2 billion.
This growth is fuelled by the booming food retail sector and
assisted by Russia’s recent adoption of new regulations
that make it easier for international players to introduce
new ingredients to the market.
The inclusion of 494 new additions to the list of food additives
permitted in Russia underlines the development of the sector.
This development is part of a wider scheme, backed by President
Vladimir Putin, to expand the food, ingredients and agriculture
industries.
